1997 Head of the Oakland Estuary

THE 19TH ANNUAL HEAD OF THE ESTUARY ROWING REGATTA
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 26, 1997

THE FINISH LINE -- PLEASE REVIEW THE MAP!

  1. The finish line. The finish-line will be a course-buoy marked with a red balloon, up-course from the Broadway flagpole. Row between the buoy and the Oakland shore. You will be disqualified if you row on the Alameda side of the finish-line buoy.

  2. The return to docks. After rowing past the finish-line buoy, turn to port (i.e. toward Alameda), paddle past and around the finish-line yacht, on the Alameda side, and cross the race course to the docks. Do not row back up the Oakland side of the race course. Watch for other crews racing down the course.
