FINAL MAILING UPDATE !

This is the final mailing information for the 1997 Lake Merritt Sprints Regatta, Sunday July 27 at Lake Merritt in Oakland. Races will be held at eight minute intervals. Please carefully check your races to make sure you have enough time between events - 30 minutes is recommended. Most events are full, so please allow adequate time to maneuver on and off the water. Starts will not be held for late arrivals.

** Lake Merritt Sprints Final Schedule **

* Final Lane Assignments *

Scratches/change of lineup: Please notify the Registrar by calling 510-236-8783, or stop by the registration desk on Sunday morning. We need to notify the judge referee at the start line if you are not racing, and the statistician for masters' handicapping and correct reporting of the results.

Waiver/Fees: If you need to sign a waiver or turn in race fees please stop by the Registrar's desk on Sunday morning.

Cox'n's meeting: The coxswain's meeting will be held Sunday at 6:45 a.m. near the Registration desk.

Weigh-ins (lightweights): Will be available starting Sunday at 6:45 a.m.

Parking: See map for directions to Lake Merritt. Plan to unload your trailer onto the lawn off Lakeside Drive, then move your trailer as instructed by the parking czar. Please note that the Lake Merritt Joggers and Striders will also be holding an event on Sunday. See that detail map (~316K) of the north parking lot and adjacent lawn. The heavy black line delineates the areas of the lawn and parking lot to be divided between regatta participants and the LMJS. Please be considerate of the LMJS and do not overflow into their share of the lawn and parking lot.

Races: All races will be 1000 meters. Stake boats will be in place, with a six lane buoyed course. Races will not be delayed for late arrivals, and BOW NUMBERS ARE REQUIRED (bring your own). This is not a USRA registered regatta, but USRA recommendations for safety will be followed (bow balls and heel tie-downs or quick-release shoes are required).
